The 18th Century Swedish Ship
Gotheborg visits Hong Kong

The World largest wooden ship, which is an exact replica of the 1745
Swedish sailing vessel, has a friendship visit to Hong Kong in December
2006.

The original went aground just outside Gothenburg on its return from
China on 12 September 1745. Marine archeologists recovered its
wreck in between 1986 to 1992. This replica was built in memory of
the good relations and cooperation between Sweden and the countries
visited by the ship, including China.
